예수를 믿는 신앙은

아무리 완고하고 거친 성격도 유순하게 만들며, 

행실이 아무리 우악스럽고 날카로울지라도 상냥하게 만든다. 

또한, 말과 태도를 온순하고 우아하게 만든다. 

 

그리스도에게서 순결하고 고결한 정신과 명랑한 기질을 결합시키는 법을 배우도록 하자. 

그리스도인의 친절과 예의는 그리스도교를 옹호하는 가장 힘있는 논증이다.

Combining Sunniness and Integrity

 

The religion of Jesus softens whatever is hard and rough in the temper and smooths whatever is rugged and sharp in the manners. It makes the words gentle and the demeanor winning. 

Let us learn from Christ how to combine a high sense of purity and integrity with sunniness of disposition. A kind, courteous Christian is the most powerful argument that can be produced in favor of Christianity.
