God Deals Plainly

하나님은 투명하게 다루심

 

But our Lord does not deceive us.

He does not say to us, “Do not fear; there are no dangers in your path.”

He knows there are trials and dangers, and He deals with us plainly.  

 

우리 주님께서는 사실이 아닌 어떤 것을 우리에게 이야기 하지 않으신다.

그분께서는 우리에게 “두려워하지 말라. 너의 앞에 길에는 위험이 전혀 없다”고 말씀하지 않으신다. 그분께서는 어려운 시기가 있음을 아시고 우리에게 그 사실을 말씀하신다. 

 

He does not propose to take His people out of a world of sin and evil,

but He points them to a never-failing refuge.

 

그분께서는 당신의 백성들을 죄와 악의 이 세상과 분리시키고자 계획하지 않으신다.

그러나 그분께서는 결코 실패함이 없는 피난처를 그들에게 가르쳐 주신다.

 

His prayer for His disciples was,

“I pray not that Thou shouldest take them out of the world,

but that Thou shouldest keep them from the evil.”

“In the world,” He says,

“ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world”

(John 17:15; 16:33).

 

예수께서는 당신의 제자들을 위하여

“내가 비옵는 것은 저희를 세상에서 데려가시기를 위함이 아니요

오직 악에 빠지지 않게 보전하시기를 위함이니이다”(요 17: 15)라고 기도하셨다.

예수께서는

“세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라”(요 16: 33)고 말씀하셨다.
