건강, 생명 그리고 행복은 우리의 몸을 다스리는 신체적 법칙들에 순종한 결과이다.

우리의 의지와 길이 하나님의 의지와 길에 일치한다면,

우리가 우리 창조주께서 기뻐하시는 일을 행한다면,

그분께서는 인간 유기체를 양호한 상태로 보존하시고,

하나님께 영광이 되도록 그분께서 우리를 통하여 일하실 수 있도록

도덕적, 정신적 그리고 신체적 능력들을 회복하실 것이다.

 

그분의 회복시키는 능력은 끊임없이 우리의 몸 속에서 나타나고 있다.

우리가 이 일에서 그분과 협력한다면, 건강과 행복, 평화와 유용성은 그 확실한 결과로 얻어진다.

환자들은,

자신들을 낮게 평가하게 만들고 그들의 생애가 쓸모 없다고 생각하게 해주는

단순한 놀이에 마음을 뺏기는 대신에 무엇인가를 해야 한다.

 

의지력을 일깨우라.

의지력이 일깨워지고 올바르게 지도되면 그것은 강력한 신경 안정제가 되기 때문이다.

환자들은 일을 하게 되면 훨씬 행복해지고, 그들의 회복은 훨씬 더 용이해진다.

Healing for Invalids

 

Health, life, and happiness are the result of obedience to physical laws governing our bodies.

If our will and way are in accordance with God’s will and way; if we do the pleasure of our Creator, He will keep the human organism in good condition and restore the moral, mental, and physical powers in order that He may work through us to His glory.

Constantly His restoring power is manifested in our bodies. If we cooperate with Him in this work, health and happiness, peace and usefulness, are the sure results.

Let invalids do something instead of occupying their minds with a simple play, which lowers them in their own estimation and leads them to think their lives useless.

Keep the power of the will awake, for the will aroused and rightly directed is a potent soother of the nerves. Invalids are far happier to be employed, and their recovery is more easily effected.
