염려함으로써 그리스도의 팔에서 떠나감

If we educated our souls to have

more faith, more love, greater patience, a more perfect trust in our heavenly Father,

we would have more peace and happiness as we pass through the conflicts of this life.

만일 우리가 더 많은 믿음, 더 많은 사랑, 더욱 큰 인내, 우리 하늘 아버지에 대한 더욱 완전한 신뢰를 갖도록 스스로를 교육시킨다면,

이생의 투쟁들을 통과할 때에 더욱 큰 평강과 행복을 얻게 될 것이다.

The Lord is not pleased to have us fret and worry ourselves out of the arms of Jesus.

He is the only source of

every grace, the fulfillment of every promise, the realization of every blessing. . . .

주님께서는 우리가 불평하고 염려하여 당신의 팔에서 떠나가는 것을 기뻐하지 않으신다.

그분은 모든 은혜의 유일한 원천, 모든 약속의 성취, 모든 복의 실현이시다…

Our pilgrimage would indeed be lonely were it not for Jesus.

"I will not leave you comfortless" (John 14:18), He says to us.

Let us cherish His words, believe His promises, repeat them by day

and meditate upon them in the night season, and be happy.

실로 우리의 순례 생활은 예수가 없다면 외로울 것이다.

“내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려두지 않”(요 4: 18)을 것이라고 그분은 우리에게 말씀하신다.

우리는 그분의 말씀을 마음에 품고 그분의 약속들을 믿으며 낮에는 그것들을 되풀이하고

밤에는 그것들을 묵상하도록 하자.
