일꾼을 훈련하시는 방법

 

하나님께서는 주의 일꾼들이 자기들에게 맡겨진 직책을 감당할 준비를 할 수 있도록 훈련하신다. 

주께서는 저들이 더욱 당신의 뜻에 합당한 봉사를 할 만한 자격을 얻기를 바라신다. 

 

어떤 사람들은 남을 지배하고자 하는 생각을 가지고 있는데, 

이런 사람들은 남에게 복종하도록 변화되어야 한다. 

 

하나님께서는 그들의 생애에 변화가 있게 하신다. 

혹 어떤 때에는 그들이 택하기를 좋아하지 않는 임무를 그들에게 맡기실 것이다. 

그러나, 그들이 즐겨 하나님의 지도하심을 따르면, 

복종과 남을 돕는 정신으로써 그 의무를 이행할 수 있도록 그들에게 은혜와 힘을 주실 것이다. 

이리하여, 그들은 의무를 감당할 자격을 구비하게 되며, 

이렇게 훈련받은 재능을 가지고 큰 사업을 행할 수 있게 될 것이다.

 

하나님께서 어떤 자들에게는 실망과 또는 실패에 빠진 듯한 형편을 당하게 하심으로 훈련하신다. 

그것은 그들이 어려움을 극복하는 법을 알게 하시려는 것이다. 

 

또한, 하나님께서는 그들의 마음 속에

모든 실패한듯한 경험을 성공으로 변화시키고자 하는 결심을 넣어 주신다. 

사람들은 흔히 앞길에 놓인 고난과 장애물을 인하여 울며 기도한다. 

그러나, 처음에 가졌던 확신을 끝까지 변치 않고 나가면

하나님께서 그의 앞길의 방해물을 제하여 주실 것이다. 

 

성공은 분명히 이겨내기 어려운 곤란과 싸움으로 얻어지는 것이며, 

이러한 성공에는 말할 수 없는 큰 기쁨이 따르게 된다.

 

변화없는 단조한 생애가 영적 성장에 가장 도움이 되지는 않는다. 

어떤 사람은 반드시 그 정상적인 일상 생애에 변화가 있음으로써 최고의 영적 수준에 도달할 수 있다. 

하나님께서는 당신의 섭리 가운데서 품성 건설의 성취를 위해 변화가 반드시 있어야 할 것을 보실 때는

평탄한 생애를 방해하신다. 

그리고, 또 하나님께서 어떤 교역자에게서 당신과 더욱 친밀히 교제하여야 할 필요가 있음을 보실 때에는

이것을 이루시기 위해서 그를 친구와 친지들과 헤어지게 하신다.

How God Trains His Workers

 

The Lord disciplines His workers,

that they may be prepared to fill the places appointed them.

He desires to fit them to do more acceptable service. 

There are those who wish to be a ruling power,

and who need the sanctification of submission.

God brings about a change in their lives.

Perhaps He places before them duties that they would not choose.

If they are willing to be guided by Him, He will give them grace and strength

to perform these duties in a spirit of submission and helpfulness.

Thus they are being qualified to fill places

where their disciplined abilities will make them of great service.

Some God trains by bringing to them disappointment and apparent failure.

It is His purpose that they shall learn to master difficulties.

He inspires them with a determination to prove every apparent failure a success.

Often men pray and weep because of the perplexities and obstacles that confront them. But if they will hold the beginning of their confidence steadfast unto the end,

God will make their way clear.

Success will come as they struggle against apparently insurmountable difficulties

and with success will come the greatest joy.

A life of monotony is not the most conducive to spiritual growth.

Some can reach the highest standard of spirituality

only through a change in the regular order of things.

When in His providence God sees that changes

are essential for the success of the character-building,

He disturbs the smooth current of the life.

He sees that a worker needs to be more closely associated with Him;

and to bring this about, He separates him from friends and acquaintances.
