우리의 믿음에 대한 하나님의 반응

 

We are abiding in Christ by a living faith.

He is abiding in our hearts by our individual appropriating of faith.

 

우리는 산 믿음으로 말미암아 그리스도 안에 거하고 있다.

그리스도께서는 우리들이 개인적으로 믿음을 활용함으로 말미암아 우리 안에 거하시고 계신다.

 

We have the companionship of the divine presence,

and as we realize this presence our thoughts are brought into captivity to Jesus Christ.

 

우리는 임재하시는 하나님과 더불어 동행한다.

그리고 우리가 하나님의 임재를 인식할 때에 우리의 사상은 예수 그리스도에게 사로잡힌 바 된다.

 

Our spiritual exercises

are in accordance with the vividness of our sense of this companionship.

Enoch walked with God in this way;

 

우리의 영적 활동은 하나님께서 우리와 함께 하신다는 것을 얼마나 생생하게 의식하느냐에 달려 있다.

에녹은 이러한 방법으로 하나님과 동행하였다.

 

and Christ is dwelling in our hearts by faith

when we will consider what He is to us, and what a work He has wrought out for us

in the plan of redemption.

 

우리에게 있어서 하나님은 어떤 의미가 있는 분인지

그리고 속죄의 계획에 있어서 주께서 우리를 위하여 어떠한 일을 이루어 주셨는가를 우리가 생각할 때에 믿음으로 그리스도께서 우리의 마음 속에 거하신다.

 

We shall be most happy in cultivating a sense of this great gift of God to our world

and to us personally.

 

하나님께서 세상과 우리 개인에게 주신 이 위대한 선물에 대한 의식이 더욱 깊이 계발될 때에

우리들은 가장 큰 행복을 느낄 것이다.

 

These thoughts have a controlling power upon the whole character.

I want to impress upon your mind that you may have a divine companion with you,

if you will, always.

 

이러한 생각은 온 품성에 대한 지배력을 가지고 있다.

그대들이 하고자 한다면 언제든지 하나님과 동행할 수 있음을

나는 그대들의 마음에 감명시켜 주고자 한다.

 

“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?

for ye are the temple of the living God;

as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them;

and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

 

“하나님의 성전과 우상이 어찌 일치가 되리요

우리는 살아 계신 하나님의 성전이라

이와 같이 하나님께서 가라사대 내가 저희 가운데 거하며 두루 행하여

나는 저희 하나님이 되고 저희는 나의 백성이 되리라”(고후 6:16).
