The Sanctified Life

 

Let us make God’s holy word our study, bringing its holy principles into our lives.

Let us walk before God in meekness and humility, daily correcting our faults.

Let us not by selfish pride separate the soul from God.

Cherish not a feeling of lofty supremacy, thinking yourself better than others.

“Let him that think he stand take heed lest he fall.”

 

하나님의 거룩한 말씀을 연구하고 그 거룩한 원칙을 우리의 생애에 실천 하자.

하나님 앞에 온유와 겸손으로 행하며 날마다 우리의 허물을 고치자.

이기적 교만으로 말미암아 영혼을 하나님과 분리시키지 말자.

스스로 남보다 낫다고 생각하면서 높은 우월감을 가지지 말자.

“선 줄로 생각하는 자는 넘어질까 조심하라”(고전 10:12).

 

Peace and rest will come to you

as you bring your will into subjection to the will of Christ.

Then the love of Christ will rule in the heart,

bringing into captivity to the Savior the secret springs of action.

 

그대들의 의지를 그리스도의 의지에 복종시킬 때 평화와 안식이 그대에게 깃들 것이다.

그 때에는 그리스도의 사랑이 마음을 지배하고,

모든 행동의 숨은 동기가 구주께 사로잡히게 될 것이다.

 

The hasty, easily roused temper

will be soothed and subdued by the oil of Christ’s grace.

The sense of sins forgiven will bring that peace that pass all understanding. 

 

조급하고 성내기 쉬운 감정은 그리스도의 은혜의 기름으로써 가라앉고 진정될 것이다.

죄가 사유되었다는 자각은 모든 지각에 뛰어난 평강을 가져다 줄 것이다.

 

There will be an earnest striving to overcome all that is opposed to Christian perfection.

Variance will disappear.

He who once found fault with those around him

will see that far greater faults exist in his own character.

 

그리스도인의 완전에 반대되는 모든 것을 극복하려는 열렬한 쟁투가 일어날 것이다.

알력이 사라질 것이다.

한때 주위에 있는 사람들의 결점을 찾고 비난하던 자가

자기 자신의 성격에 더욱 큰 결점이 있는 것을 알게 될 것이다.
