개인적인 구주

Personal Saviour

 

Every soul must have a realization that Christ is his personal Saviour;

then love and zeal and steadfastness will be manifest in the Christian life.

 

각 영혼은 그리스도께서 자신의 개인적인 구주이심을 깨달아야 하며

그럴 때에 사랑과 열심과 확고부동함이 그리스도인 생애에 나타나게 될 것이다.

 

However clear and convincing the truth is,

it will fail to sanctify the soul, fail to strengthen and fortify it in its conflicts,

unless it is brought in constant contact with life.

 

아무리 진리를 명쾌하게 알고 또한 확신해도 영원한 생명과 계속적인 접촉이 있지 아니하면

그것은 영혼을 거룩하게 하는데 실패할 것이며

투쟁에서 영혼에게 힘을 주고 튼튼하게 하는데 실패할 것이다.

Satan has achieved his greatest success through interposing himself

between the soul and the Saviour.

 

사단은 영혼과 구주 사이에 자신을 개입시키므로 그의 최대의 성공을 쟁취해 왔다.

 

Christ should never be out of the mind.

The angels said concerning Him,

“Thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

 

우리의 마음에서 그리스도가 떠나서는 결코 안 된다.

‘이름을 예수라 하라 이는 그가 자기 백성을 저희 죄에서 구원할 자이심이라’(마 1:21)고

천사들은 그에 관하여 말하였다.

 

Jesus, precious Saviour! Assurance, helpfulness, security, and peace are all in Him.

He is the dispeller of all our doubts, the earnest of all our hopes.

 

예수님, 보배로우신 구세주! 그 안에는 확신과 도움과 안전과 평강이 거한다.

그는 우리의 모든 의심들을 내쫓는 분이시며 우리의 모든 소망의 중심이시다.

 

How precious is the thought that we may indeed become partakers of the divine nature, whereby we may overcome as Christ overcame!

 

우리가 그리스도께서 정복하신 것처럼 정복할 수 있도록 신성의 참여자가 될 수 있게 하신 것이야말로 얼마나 귀중한 사상인가!

 

Jesus is the fullness of our expectation.

He is the melody of our songs, the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

He is living water to the thirsty soul.

He is our refuge in the storm.

He is our righteousness, our sanctification, our redemption.

 

예수님은 우리가 기대하는 것을 충만히 가지신 분이시다.

그는 피곤한 땅에서 우리의 모든 노래의 멜로디이며 큰 반석의 그늘이시다.

그는 갈한 심령에게 생수이시다.

그는 폭풍 가운데서 우리의 피난처이시다.

그는 우리의 의요 성화요 우리의 구속이시다.

 

When Christ is our personal Saviour, we shall show forth the praises of Him

who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

 

만일 그리스도께서 우리의 개인적인 구주가 되신다면,

우리는 우리를 어두운 데서 불러내어 그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 자의 아름다운 덕을

선전하게 될 것이다.
