생기 있고 활동적인 믿음! 우리는 그것이 필요하다

 

 

어떤 사람도 그리스도인 생애를 할 수 없다는 이유로 자신의 상황이 절망적이라고 말할 필요는 없다. 그리스도의 죽으심으로 말미암아 모든 영혼을 위한 충분한 준비는 이루어져 있다.

예수님은 궁핍의 때에 언제나 우리의 도움이 되신다.

믿음으로 그분을 부르기만 하면 그분께서는 그대의 탄원을 듣고 응답해 주시기로 약속하셨다.

 

아, 생기 있고 활동적인 믿음! 우리는 그것이 필요하다.

우리는 그것을 소유해야 한다. 그렇지 않으면 우리는 시련의 날에 기진해지고 실패할 것이다.

그 때에 우리의 길에 있게 될 흑암이 우리를 좌절케하거나 우리를 실망에 빠지게 해서는 안 된다.

 

하나님께서 풍성한 축복을 나누어 주시기 위하여 오실 때

그분께서는 당신의 영광을 휘장으로 가리우신다.

우리는 우리의 지난날의 경험을 통하여 이 사실을 알아야 한다.

하나님께서는 그분의 백성들과 쟁변하시는 그날에 이 경험은 위로와 소망의 근원이 될 것이다.

 

A Living, Active Faith! We Need It

 

No one need say that his case is hopeless, that he cannot live the life of a Christian.

Ample provision is made by the death of Christ for every soul.

Jesus is our ever-present help in time of need.

Only call upon Him in faith, and He has promised to hear and answer your petitions.

 

Oh, for a living, active faith! We need it;

we must have it, or we shall faint and fail in the day of trial.

The darkness that will then rest upon our path must not discourage us or

drive us to despair.

 

It is the veil with which God covers His glory when He comes to impart rich blessings.

We should know this by our past experience.

In that day when God has a controversy with His people

this experience will be a source of comfort and hope.
