온 마음을 다하여 하나님을 구하라

 

 

우리가 하나님을 받아들이면 그는 우리에게 모든 일에 있어서 같이 하실 것이다.

우리의 기운없는 냉담한 기도는 하늘의 응답을 답지 못할 것이다.

오, 우리는 우리의 간절한 탄원을 드려야 할 것이다!

 

믿음으로 구하고, 믿음으로 기다리고, 믿음으로 바라고, 소망 가운데 기뻐하라.

그러면 구하는 이마다 찾을 것이다.

일에 정직하라.

온 마음을 다하여 하나님을 구하라.

 

사람들은 저희의 노력이 성공의 관을 쓸 때까지

이 세상의 일시적인 것들을 위해 온 정력과 열성을 기울인다.

 

하나님께서 약속하신 풍성한 축복을 구하는 열렬한 마음과, 확고한 결심과 부단의 노력은

그대로 하여금 하나님의 빛과 진리와 풍성한 은혜를 가지게 할 것이다.

 

Seek God with All the Heart

 

God will be to us everything we will let Him be.

Our languid, half-hearted prayers will not bring us returns from heaven.

Oh, we need to press our petitions!

 

Ask in faith, wait in faith, receive in faith, rejoice in hope,

for everyone that seeketh findeth.

Be in earnest in the matter.

Seek God with all the heart.

 

People put soul and earnestness into everything they undertake in temporal things,

until their efforts are crowned with success.

 

With intense earnestness

learn the trade of seeking the rich blessings that God has promised, and

with persevering, determined effort

you shall have His light and His truth and His rich grace.
