가족 연합의 비결 

 

 

가족들과 교회에서 일어나는 분열과 불화의 원인은 곧 그리스도께로부터 분리되는 데 있다.

그리스도께로 가까이 가게 되면 피차에 가까워진다.

교회 내에서와 가족 내에서 참된 연합의 비결은

외교적 수완과 경영 수완 또는 난관을 극복하려는 초인간적인 노력－비록 이것들이 이 목적을 달성하는 데 큰 도움이 되더라도－에 있지 아니하고 그리스도와의 연합에 있다.

하나의 큰 동그라미를 그리고 그 변두리로부터 많은 선들을 그 중심에 연결시켜 보라.

선들은 그 중심에 가까이 가면 갈수록 피차에 더욱 가까워진다.

그리스도인의 생애도 이와 같다.

우리가 그리스도께 가까이 가면 갈수록 피차간에 더욱 가까워진다.

하나님께서는 당신의 백성들이 일치된 행동으로 연합할 때 영광을 받으신다.

 

The Secret of Family Unity

 

The cause of division and discord in families and in the church is separation from Christ.

To come near to Christ is to come near to one another. The secret of true unity in the church and in the family is not diplomacy, not management, not a superhuman effort to overcome difficulties—though there will be much of this to do—but union with Christ.

Picture a large circle, from the edge of which are many lines all running to the center. The nearer these lines approach the center, the nearer they are to one another.

Thus it is in the Christian life. The closer we come to Christ, the nearer we shall be to one another. God is glorified as His people unite in harmonious action.
