새롭게 하시는 하나님의 말씀 2015년 1월 16일 금요일

이사야 55:8~55:11 / 200장 (통 235장)

 

이는 내 생각이 너희 생각과 다르며 내 길은 너희의 길과 다름이니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

이는 하늘이 땅보다 높음 같이 내 길은 너희의 길보다 높으며 내 생각은 너희의 생각보다 높으니라

이는 비와 눈이 하늘로부터 내려서 그리로 돌아가지 아니하고 땅을 적셔서

소출이 나게 하며 싹이 나게 하여 파종하는 자에게 종자를 주며 먹는 자에게 양식을 줌과 같이

내 입에서 나가는 말도 이와 같이 헛되이 내게로 돌아오지 아니하고 나의 기뻐하는 뜻을 이루며

내가 보낸 일에 형통하리라

 

 

GOD’S REFRESHING WORD

My word . . . shall not return to Me void. -Isaiah 55:11

When I was a boy, our family would occasionally travel across Nevada. We loved the desert thunderstorms. Accompanied by lightning bolts and claps of thunder, huge sheets of rain would blanket the hot sand as far as the eye could see. The cooling water refreshed the earth-and us. Water produces marvelous changes in arid regions. For example, the pincushion cactus is completely dormant during the dry season. But after the first summer rains, cactuses burst into bloom, displaying delicate petals of pink, gold, and white. Likewise, in the Holy Land after a rainstorm, dry ground can seemingly sprout vegetation overnight. Isaiah used rain’s renewal to illustrate God’s refreshing Word: “As the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it”(Isa. 55:10-11). scrip-ture carries spiritual vitality. That’s why it doesn’t return void. Wherever it encoun-ters an open heart, it brings refreshment, nourishment, and new life. -Dennis Fisher

내…말도 이와 같이 헛되이 내게로 되돌아오지 아니하고-이사야 55:11

내가 어렸을 때 우리 가족은 가끔 네바다주를 가로질러 여행을 하곤 했습니다. 우리는 사막의 천둥번개를 아주 좋아했습니다. 번쩍이는 번개와 천둥소리를 동반한 엄청난 빗줄기가 우리 앞에 끝없이 펼쳐진 뜨거운 모래를 뒤덮곤 했습니다. 이 시원한 물은 땅과 우리를 상쾌하게 해주었습니다. 물은 건조한 지역에 놀라운 변화를 만들어냅니다. 예를 들어, 바늘 선인장은 건기에는 완전히 휴면상태에 있다가, 첫 여름비가 내린 후 분홍색과 황금색, 그리고 흰색의 섬세한 꽃잎을 지닌 꽃으로 만발합니다. 마찬가지로 폭풍우가 지나간 ‘거룩한 땅’에서도 밤사이에 마른 흙에서 식물이 싹틀 수 있습니다. 이사야는 이처럼 새롭게 해주는 비를 하나님의 새롭게 하시는 말씀에 비유해 묘사하고 있습니다. “비와 눈이 하늘로부터 내려서 그리로 되돌아가지 아니하고 땅을 적셔서 소출이 나게 하며 싹이 나게 하여 파종하는 자에게는 종자를 주며 먹는 자에게는 양식을 줌과 같이 내 입에서 나가는 말도 이와 같이 헛되이 내게로 되돌아오지 아니하고 나의 기뻐하는 뜻을 이루며 내가 보낸 일에 형통함이니라”(사 55:10-11). 성경은 영적인 생명력을 가져다줍니다. 그것이 바로 말씀이 헛되이 되돌아오지 않는 이유입니다. 성경은 열린 마음으로 그것을 대하는 사람을 만날 때마다, 상쾌함과 자양분과 새 생명을 불어넣어 줍니다.

하나님의 말씀은 곡물과 씨앗에 물을 공급해주는 상쾌한 비와 같네 열린 마음에 새 생명을 가져다주고 우리의 필요를 채워주시네

목마른 영혼에게 성경은 황량한 땅에 흐르는 물과 같다.
