오직 믿으라. 그리하면, 하나님의 구원을 볼 것이다

 

 

나의 형제여, 이 땅은 하늘이 아님을 기억하라.

예수께서 말씀하시기를,

“세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라, 내가 세상을 이기었노라.”,

“의를 위하여 핍박을 받은 자는 복이 있나니 … 기뻐하고 즐거워하라, 하늘에서 너희의 상이 큼이라.

너희 전에 있던 선지자들을 이같이 핍박하였느니라” (요 16:33; 마 5:10-12)고 하셨다.

 

예수님께서는 그대가 만나는 시련과 곤란에 놀라도록 버려 두지 않으신다.

예수님께서는 이런 모든 것들에 대해서 이미 그대에게 말씀하셨으며

또한 시련이 임할 때에 낙담하거나 불안해 하지 말 것도 말씀하셨다.

그대의 구주이신 예수를 바라봄으로 원기를 내고 기뻐하라.

 

가장 견디기 어려운 시련은 우리의 형제들이나 친밀한 친구들에게서 오는 것으로,

이런 시험일지라도 인내함으로 극복할 수 있을 것이다.

 

예수님께서는 요셉의 새 무덤에 누워 계시지 않으신다.

그는 부활하셔서 하늘에 올라가시고, 거기서 우리를 위하여 중보하고 계신다.

우리는 우리를 위하여 죽으실 만큼 우리를 사랑하신 구주를 모시고 있는바,

그가 우리를 위하여 죽으심은 우리로 당신을 의지하여 소망과 힘과 용기와

그의 보좌에 그와 함께 할 지위를 가지게 하려 함인 것이다.

 

주님께서는 그대가 부르짖을 때에는 언제든지 그대를 능히 도우실 수 있으며, 또 즐거이 도와 주신다 만일, 그대가 무거운 짐을 홀로 지려고 한다면 그대는 그 짐에 눌리고 말 것이다.

그대는 무거운 책임을 맡고 있다. 예수님께서는 그것을 알고 계시며,

그대가 그분을 떠나지 않는 한 그대를 홀로 버려 두지 않으실 것이다.

 

그대가 그대의 영혼을 미쁘신 조물주에게 맡길 때 그분은 영광을 받으신다.

주님께서는, 그대가 당신의 자비하심을 바라고,

이 무거운 책임들을 그대 자신의 힘으로 감당하는 것을 바라지 않으심을 믿으라고 하신다.

오직 믿으라. 그리하면, 하나님의 구원을 볼 것이다.

 

 

Only Believe, and You Will See the Salvation of God

 

 

My brother, remember that this earth is not heaven. Christ has declared: “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” “Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” John 16:33; Matthew 5:10-12.

Jesus has not left you to be amazed at the trials and difficulties you meet. He has told you all about them, and He has told you also not to be cast down and oppressed when trials come. Look to Jesus, your Redeemer, and be cheerful and rejoice. The trials hardest to bear are those that come from our brethren, our own familiar friends; but even these trials may be borne with patience. Jesus is not lying in Joseph’s new tomb. He has risen and has ascended to heaven, there to intercede in our behalf. We have a Saviour who so loved us that He died for us, that through Him we might have hope and strength and courage, and a place with Him upon His throne. He is able and willing to help you whenever you call upon Him.

If you try to carry your burdens alone you will be crushed under them. You have heavy responsibilities. Jesus knows about them, and He will not leave you alone, if you do not leave Him. He is honored when you commit the keeping of your soul to Him as unto a faithful Creator. He bids you hope in His mercy, believing that He does not desire you to carry these weighty responsibilities in your own strength. only believe, and you will see the salvation of God. – Testimony Treasures 3, 233-4.
