자신의 연약함을 깨닫고 예수님을 바라봄

하나님께서는 날마다 당신의 자녀들을 교훈하신다.

그분께서는 일상생활의 환경을 통하여

저들이 그분의 섭리가 그들에게 지정한 더욱 넓은 무대에서 그들이 맡은 부분을 행하도록

준비시키고 계신다.

 

인생의 위기에서 승패를 결정짓는 것은 매일의 시험에 대한 승부에 달려 있다.

하나님께 끊임없이 의지할 필요를 깨닫지 못하는 자들은 시험에 지고 말 것이다.

지금 우리는 우리의 발이 안전하여 결코 동요되지 않을 것처럼 생각할지 모른다.

우리는 확신을 가지고 “나는 내가 믿어 온 분을 안다. 아무것도 하나님과 그분의 말씀에 대한

나의 믿음을 흔들어 놓을 수 없다”라고 말할 수 있을지 모른다.

그러나 사단은 유전적이거나 계발된 품성의 특성을 이용하여

자신의 필요나 결함에 눈이 멀도록 계획하고 있다.

자신의 연약함을 깨닫고 확고부동하게 예수님을 바라볼 때에 우리는 안전하게 행할 수 있다.

 

Realizing Our Own Weakness and Looking unto Jesus

 

Day by day God instructs His children. By the circumstances of the daily life He is preparing them to act their part upon that wider stage to which His providence has appointed them. It is the issue of the daily test that determines their victory or defeat in life's great crisis.

Those who fail to realize their constant dependence upon God will be overcome by temptation. We may now suppose that our feet stand secure, and that we shall never be moved. We may say with confidence, "I know in whom I have believed; nothing can shake my faith in God and in His word." But Satan is planning to take advantage of our hereditary and cultivated traits of character, and to blind our eyes to our own necessities and defects. only through realizing our own weakness and looking steadfastly unto Jesus can we walk securely. – Desires of Ages, 382.
