육체적 고통을 덜어 주는 의료선교사업

 

 

복음 전도를 위한 문을 열어줌 ―

진리를 위한 문호(門戶)를 의료 선교 사업 만큼 쉽게 열어주는 것은 없다.

의료 선교 사업은 마음과 정신에 이르는 통로를 발견할 것이며

이 사업은 많은 영혼들에게 진리를 깨닫게 하여 회개시키는 수단이 될 것이다.

병든 자에게 봉사할 준비가 되어 있는 복음 전도자에게, 병든 영혼에게 봉사할 수 있는 가장 큰 기회가

부여되는 것이다. 그러한 복음전도자에게는

회개하고 침례받기를 원하는 자들에게 침례를 줄 수 있는 자격이 부여되어야 할 것이다….

의료 선교 사업은 복음사업을 돕는 오른손이며, 기별을 전파하는 문호를 개방해 준다. ― 원고 58, 1901년

 

이 사업은 심령에 이르는 통로를 제공해 줌 ―

의료 선교 사업을 행하라. 그렇게 할 때 그대들은 사람들의 심령에 접근할 수 있는 길을 얻게 될 것이다.

그리하여 진리를 더욱 결정적으로 전파하기 위한 길이 예비될 것이다.

그대들은 육체적 고통을 덜어 주는 것이 저들의 영적 요구를 위하여 봉사할 기회를 준다는 것을

깨닫게 될 것이다.

그리스도께서 하신 그대로 몸을 돌보는 활동과 영혼을 돌보는 활동이 합할 때,

Medical Missionary Work Which Relieves Physical Suffering

 

 

Opening Doors for Evangelism.--Nothing will open doors for the truth like evangelistic medical missionary work. This will find access to hearts and minds, and will be a means of converting many to the truth.

The evangelist who is prepared to minister to a diseased body is given the grandest opportunity of ministering to the sinsick soul. Such an evangelist should be empowered to administer baptism to those who are converted and desire baptism.... Medical missionary work is the right, helping hand of the gospel, to open doors for the proclamation of the message. - Manuscript 58, 1901.

It Gives Access to Hearts.--Do medical missionary work. Thus you will gain access to the hearts of the people. The way will be prepared for more decided proclamation of the truth. You will find that relieving their physical suffering gives an opportunity to minister to their spiritual needs. . . .
