기도의 특권
“하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과

기도는 전능하신 자의 무한한 자원(資源-富, 力, 智 등)을 쌓아 둔

하늘 창고를 여는 믿는 자의 수중에 있는 열쇠이건만
하나님의 자녀들은 어찌하여 기도하기를 싫어하는지?
끊임없는 기도와 늘 깨어 있음이 없이는 우리는 부주의하게 되고 정도에서 탈선할 위험성이 있게 된다.
우리가 구하는 것을 우리가 구하는 바로 그때 받지 못할지라도

우리는 잘못이 너무 많고 앞에 것을 잘 보지 못함으로 어떤 때에는 우리에게 축복이 되지 못하는 것을 구한다.
그래서 우리의 아버지께서는 사랑으로 우리에게 가장 좋은 것

-우리가 영적으로 밝아진 눈을 가지고 그 모든 것을 사실 그대로 볼 수 있다면 우리 자신도 원하게 될 것-을
주심으로 우리 기도를 응답하여 주신다.

The Privilege of Prayer
“He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6.
Why should the sons and daughters of God be reluctant to pray, when prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s storehouse, where are treasured the boundless resources of Omnipotence? Without unceasing prayer and diligent watching we are in danger of growing careless and of deviating from the right path.
When we do not receive the very things we asked for, at the time we ask, we are still to believe that the Lord hears and that He will answer our prayers.
We are so erring and short-sighted that we sometimes ask for things that would not be a blessing to us, and our heavenly Father in love answers our prayers by giving us that which will be for our highest good—that which we ourselves would desire if with vision divinely enlightened we could see all things as they really are.
When our prayers seem not to be answered, we are to cling to the promise; for the time of answering will surely come, and we shall receive the blessing we need most.
... Unceasing prayer is the unbroken union of the soul with God, so that life from God flows into our life; and from our life, purity and holiness flow back to God.
