하나님께서 공급해 주심

그리스도를 따르는 자들이라고 공언하는 많은 사람들이

그들 자신을 하나님께 맡기기를 두려워하기 때문에 근심스럽고 불안한 마음을 가지게 된다.

그들은 하나님께 완전히 헌신하지 아니한다.

왜냐하면 그들은 그와 같은 헌신에 따르는 결과를 두려워하기 때문이다.

그들이 그와 같은 헌신을 하지 않으면 그들은 평안을 찾지 못할 것이다.

많은 사람들은 그들이 세상의 표준에 도달하고자 애쓰기 때문에 근심의 짐을 지고 마음에 고통을 받고 있다. 그들은 세속적 봉사를 택하였고, 세속적 근심을 받아들였고, 세속적 관습을 적용하였다.

그리하여 그들의 성격은 망가졌고, 그들의 생애는 근심으로 눌리게 되었다.

계속적인 근심은 생명력을 소모시킨다. 

우리 주님께서는 이 속박의 멍에를 벗어 버리기를 바라신다.

그분께서는 당신의 멍에를 메라고 그들에게 초청하신다.

그분께서는 “내 멍에는 쉽고 내 짐은 가벼움이라”(마 11:30)고 말씀하신다.

근심은 눈을 가리우므로 장래를 식별하지 못하게 한다.

그러나 예수님께서는 처음부터 끝까지 보신다.

모든 어려움 중에서 그분께서는 구원해 줄 길을 마련하고 계신다.

하나님께서는 “정직히 행하는 자에게 좋은 것을 아끼지 아니하실 것”이다(시 84:11).

우리의 하늘 아버지께서는 우리가 모두가 알지 못하는 수많은 길을 준비해놓고 계신다.

하나님을 섬기는 일을 최선의 것으로 여기는 원칙을 수락하는 사람들은 난관들이 사라지고

앞길에 평탄한 길이 펼쳐짐을 발견하게 될 것이다.

오늘의 의무를 성실하게 감당하는 것이 내일의 시련을 위하여 가장 잘 대비하는 일이 된다.

내일의 부담과 염려를 모두 모아서 오늘의 짐에 첨가하지 말라.

“한 날 괴로움은 그 날에 족하니라”(마 6:34).

희망과 용기를 가지자.

하나님의 사업에서 실망하는 것은 죄악적이며 부당한 일이다.

그분께서는 우리의 온갖 필요를 아신다.

언약을 지켜주시는 우리의 하나님, 만왕의 왕이신 전능한 하나님은

부드러운 목자의 보호와 친절을 겸하여 가지신 분이시다.

그분의 능력은 절대적이다.

그리고 그분을 신뢰하는 모든 사람들에게 당신의 약속을 성취시켜 주겠다는 분명한 보증이 되어 있다. 

그분께서는 모든 어려움을 제거해 줄 방편을 소유하고 계신다.

그러므로 그분을 존경하고 그분께서 마련하신 방편을 존중히 여기는 사람들은 도움을 받을 수 있다.

그분의 사랑은 마치 하늘이 땅에서 높음같이 다른 어떤 사랑보다 더욱 뛰어난 사랑이다.

그분께서는 측량할 수 없이 영원한 사랑을 가지고 당신의 자녀들을 돌보신다.

가장 어려운 상황인 것처럼 보이는 최악의 시간에 하나님을 믿는 믿음을 가지라.

그분께서는 당신의 뜻을 이루고 계시며, 당신의 백성의 유익을 위하여 모든 것을 호전시키고 계신다.

하나님을 사랑하고 섬기는 사람들의 힘은 날마다 새로워질 것이다.

God Will Provide

Many who profess to be Christ's followers have an anxious, troubled heart because they are afraid to trust themselves with God. They do not make a complete surrender to Him, for they shrink from the consequences that such a surrender may involve. Unless they do make this surrender they cannot find peace.

There are many whose hearts are aching under a load of care because they seek to reach the world's standard. They have chosen its service, accepted its perplexities, adopted its customs. Thus their character is marred and their life made a weariness. The continual worry is wearing out the life forces. Our Lord desires them to lay aside this yoke of bondage. 

He invites them to accept His yoke; He says, "My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." Worry is blind and cannot discern the future; but Jesus sees the end from the beginning. In every difficulty He has His way prepared to bring relief. "No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly." Matthew 11:30; Psalm 84:11.

Our heavenly Father has a thousand ways to provide for us of which we know nothing. Those who accept the one principle of making the service of God supreme, will find perplexities vanish and a plain path before their feet.

The faithful discharge of today's duties is the best preparation for tomorrow's trials. Do not gather together all tomorrow's liabilities and cares and add them to the burden of today. "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matthew 6:34.

Let us be hopeful and courageous. Despondency in God's service is sinful and unreasonable. He knows our every necessity. To the omnipotence of the King of kings our covenant-keeping God unites the gentleness and care of the tender shepherd. His power is absolute, and it is the pledge of the sure fulfillment of His promises to all who trust in Him. 

He has means for the removal of every difficulty, that those who serve Him and respect the means He employs may be sustained. His love is as far above all other love as the heavens are above the earth. He watches over His children with a love that is measureless and everlasting.

In the darkest days, when appearances seem most forbidding, have faith in God. He is working out His will, doing all things well in behalf of His people. The strength of those who love and serve Him will be renewed day by day.
