봉사의 법칙

“주라 그리하면 너희에게 줄 것이니” (눅 6:38) 

하늘과 땅의 모든 사물은 생명의 대 법칙이 곧 봉사의 법칙임을 말하고 있다.

무한하신 하나님 아버지께서는 모든 생물의 생명을 위해 봉사하고 계신다.

그리스도께서는 “섬기는 자” (눅 22:27) 로 이 세상에 오셨다.
천사들은 “부리는 영으로서 구원 얻을 후사들을 위하여 섬기라고 보내심” (히 1:14) 을 받은 것이다.

그와 같은 봉사의 법칙이 천연계의 만물에 쓰여져 있다.
공중에 나는 새, 들에 있는 짐승, 숲 속의 나무들, 잎사귀들, 풀 또는 꽃들, 하늘의 해, 빛나는 별들,

이런 것들은 다 나름대로 봉사를 하고 있다.
대양도 호수도, 시내도 샘물도 다 남에게 주기 위하여 받아들이고 있다.

산비탈과 평원이 길을 열어 산골 시내를 바다로 흐르게 함으로 얻는 보수는 백 배나 된다.

노래하며 흐르는 시냇물은 아름답고 풍요한 결실을 남기고 간다.

여름 태양 아래 드러난 갈색의 산야에 푸른 빛의 줄기가 시내의 흐름을 표해 주고,

귀한 나무와 새싹과 꽃들은 각각,

하나님의 은혜를 세상에 전하는 통로 역할을 하는 자들에게 주시는 보수를 실증하고 있다.

The Law of Ministry

 “Give, and it shall be given unto you” (Luke 6:38)

All things both in heaven and in earth declare that the great law of life is a law of service.

The infinite Father ministers to the life of every living thing. Christ came to the earth “as He that serveth.” Luke 22:27.
The angels are “ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.” Hebrews 1:14.

The same law of service is written upon all things in nature.
The birds of the air, the beasts of the field, the trees of the forest, the leaves, the grass, and the flowers, the sun in the heavens and the stars of light—all have their ministry.
Lake and ocean, river and water spring—each takes to give.

As the hillsides and the plains open a channel for the mountain stream to reach the sea, that which they give is repaid a hundredfold.
The stream that goes singing on its way leaves behind its gift of beauty and fruitfulness.

Through the fields, bare and brown under the summer’s heat, a line of verdure marks the river’s course; every noble tree, every bud, every blossom, a witness to the recompense God’s grace decrees to all who become its channels to the world.
