주 안에서 굳셈

 “여호와는 나의 빛이요 나의 구원이시니 내가 누구를 두려워하리요

여호와는 내 생명의 능력이시니 내가 누구를 무서워하리요 ... 

군대가 나를 대적하여 진칠지라도 내 마음이 두렵지 아니하며

전쟁이 일어나 나를 치려 할지라도 내가 오히려 안연하리로다." (시 27:1, 3)

우리들은 원수의 땅을 지나가고 있다.

우리의 전진을 막기 위하여 원수들은 어느 편에든지 있다.

그들은 하나님을 증오하며 또 그를 따르고 또 그의 이름을 부르는 모든 사람들을 미워한다. 

그러나 우리의 원수들은 또한 주님의 원수이다.

저들은 강하고 교활할지라도

우리를 인도하시는 우리의 구원의 대장께서는 저들을 정복하고 우리를 인도할 수 있으시다. 

태양이 구름을 헤치고 그의 길을 가듯이

의의 태양 되시는 분께서 우리의 앞길의 모든 장애물들을 제거하실 것이다.

우리들의 행로에 있어서 우리들을 즐겁게 하고 활기있게 하여주는 보이지 않는 것을 바라봄으로써

우리의 영혼은 기쁨을 누릴 수 있다. 

하나님께서는 우리를 존귀한 그릇으로 만드시고 모든 선한 일을 하도록 준비하셨다. 

"이 백성은 내가 나를 위하여 지었나니 나의 찬송을 부르게 하려 함이니라"(사 43:21) 

하나님의 백성들은 왕의 면류관이 되도록 부르셨다.

사탄은 주님의 보물들을 열렬하게 제거하려고 하지만

하나님께서 안전하게 보호하기 때문에 사탄이 취할 수 없다. 

"너는 또 여호와의 손에 아름다운 면류관 네 하나님의 손에 왕관이 될 것이라"(사 62:3) 

우리는 하나님 안에서 흔들리지 않는 신뢰를 가지는 동안 원수의 음모로부터 완전하게 안전할 것이다.

Strong in the Lord

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid ...

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. Psalm 27:1, 3. 

We are passing through an enemy’s land. Foes are upon every side to hinder our advancement. They hate God and all who follow after Him and bear His name. 

But those who are our enemies are the Lord’s enemies, and although they are strong and artful, yet the Captain of our salvation who leadeth us can vanquish them. 

As the sun disperses the clouds from its path, so will the Sun of Righteousness remove the obstacles to our progress. 

We may cheer our souls by looking at the things unseen which will cheer and animate us in our journey.

God has made us as vessels unto honor, prepared unto every good work. “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” Isaiah 43:21. 

God’s people are called a crown, a diadem. Satan would eagerly seize the Lord’s treasure, but God has secured it so that Satan cannot obtain it.

 “Thou shalt be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.” Isaiah 62:3. 

We are secure, perfectly secure from the enemy’s subtlety while we have unwavering trust in God.”
