그리스도께서는 우리의 가능성을 보심

인간의 안목으로 그 여자의 경우가 희망이 없는 것처럼 보일 때에

그리스도께서는 마리아에게서 선의 가능성을 발견하셨다.

예수께서는 그녀의 품성의 보다 나은 특성을 보셨다. 

구속의 경륜은 큰 가능성을 가지고 인간에게 주어졌다.

따라서 마리아에게서 이 가능성이 실현되었어야만 했다.

예수의 은혜로 그는 거룩한 품성에 참여하는 자가 되었다.

타락하여 그 심령이 마귀의 거처가 되었던 자가 구주와 매우 가까이 교제하고 또한 봉사하는 자가 되었다. 

예수의 발 아래 앉아서 예수에게 배운 사람은 마리아였다.

예수의 머리에 귀중한 기름을 붓고 눈물로 예수의 발을 씻은 사람은 바로 마리아였다.

마리아는 십자가 곁에 섰었으며 무덤까지 그를 따라갔다.

예수의 부활 후에 무덤에 제일 먼저 나타난 사람은 마리아였다.

부활하신 구주를 처음으로 선포한 사람도 마리아였다.

예수께서는 모든 영혼의 환경을 아신다.

그대는 나는 매우 죄가 많다고 말할는지 모른다. 그대는 그럴 수 있을 것이다.

그러나 그대가 악하면 악할수록 더욱 그리스도가 필요하다.

그리스도는 울면서 참회하는 사람을 한 사람도 돌려보내지 않으신다. 

예수께서는 당신이 나타내실 수 있는 모든 것을 어느 누구에게도 말씀하지 않으시며

오히려 떨고 있는 모든 영혼에게 용기를 가지라고 명하신다.

그에게 나아와 용서와 회복을 구하는 모든 사람을 그는 즐거이 용서하실 것이다.… 

오늘날 예수께서는 향단 곁에 서서 그의 도움을 바라는 자들의 기도를 하나님 앞에 드리고 계신다.

Christ Sees Our Possibilities

When to human eyes her case appeared hopeless, Christ saw in Mary capabilities for good. He saw the better traits of her character. 

The plan of redemption has invested humanity with great possibilities, and in Mary these possibilities were to be realized. Through His grace she became a partaker of the divine nature. The one who had fallen, and whose mind had been a habitation of demons, was brought very near to the Saviour in fellowship and ministry. 

It was Mary who sat at His feet and learned of Him. It was Mary who poured upon His head the precious anointing oil, and bathed His feet with her tears. Mary stood beside the cross, and followed Him to the sepulcher. Mary was first at the tomb after His resurrection. It was Mary who first proclaimed a risen Saviour.

Jesus knows the circumstances of every soul. You may say, I am sinful, very sinful. You may be; but the worse you are, the more you need Jesus. He turns no weeping, contrite one away. 

He does not tell to any all that He might reveal, but He bids every trembling soul take courage. Freely will He pardon all who come to Him for forgiveness and restoration.... 

He is today standing at the altar of incense, presenting before God the prayers of those who desire His help.
