우리를 통하여 그리스도가 보이고 음성이 들려야 함

 

 

하나님께서는 병든 자와, 불행한 자와, 악한 귀신이 들린 자들이

우리를 통하여 그분의 음성을 들려주도록 계획하신다.

하나님께서는 당신의 인간 대리자들을 통하여

세상이 이전에 전혀 목격하지 못한 위로자가 되시고자 갈망하신다.

“너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라 하나님을 믿으니 또 나를 믿으라”(요 14:1)는 그분의 말씀은

그분을 따르는 자들을 통하여 들려져야 한다.

주님께서는 당신께서 역사하실 수 있도록

자신을 포기하는 모든 사람을 통하여 설교할 뿐만 아니라

절망 중에 있는 자들에게 봉사하며, 희망을 잃은 사람들의 마음에 소망을 일으켜 주는 사업을

하실 것이다.

우리는 이 세상 생애의 불행을 해방시켜 주고 경감시켜 주는 일에 있어서

우리의 몫을 담당해야 한다.

오늘날 생활의 불행과 신비들은 몇천 년 전의 그것들처럼 어둡고 흐리다.

우리에게는 무엇인가 해야 할 일이 있다.

“일어나라 빛을 발하라. 이는 네 빛이 이르렀고 여호와의 영광이 네 위에 임하였음이니라”(사 60:1).

 

도움이 필요한 자들이 우리 곁에 가까이에 있으며, 고난당하는 자들이 바로 우리 지역 안에 있다.

우리는 그들을 돕기 위하여 힘써야 한다.

그리스도의 은혜로 그분께서 하셨던 것과 유사한 진지한 사업에,

굳게 닫힌 상태에서 샘물 터지듯 열려져야 한다.

모든 능력을 소유하신 그분의 힘으로 우리는 이전에 결코 해보지 못한 것처럼 일해야 한다.

Christ to Be Seen and Heard Through Us

God designs that the sick, the unfortunate, those possessed of evil spirits, shall hear His voice through us. Through His human agents He desires to be a comforter, such as the world has never before seen. His words are to be voiced by His followers: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.”

The Lord will work through every soul that will give himself up to be worked, not only to preach but to minister to the despairing and to inspire hope in the hearts of the hopeless.

We are to act our part in relieving and softening the miseries of this life. The miseries and mysteries of this life are as dark and cloudy as they were thousands of years ago. There is something for us to do: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”

There are needy close by us; the suffering are in our very borders. We must try to help them. By the grace of Christ, the sealed fountains of earnest, Christlike work are to be unsealed. In the strength of Him who has all strength we are to work as we have never worked before.
