병자를 위한 기도

 

I was shown that in case of sickness,

where the way is clear for the offering up of prayer for the sick,

the case should be committed to the Lord in calm faith, not with a storm of excitement. 

병자를 위해 기도를 드리는 것이 분명하게 된 질병의 경우,

흥분의 폭풍이 아니라 조용한 믿음 가운데서 그 병이 주님께 의탁되어야 함을 나는 보았다. 

He alone is acquainted with the past life of the individual and knows what his future will be. He who is acquainted with the hearts of all men knows whether the person,

if raised up, would glorify His name or dishonor Him by backsliding and apostasy. 

 

그분만이 개인의 과거의 생애를 알고 계시며 그의 미래가 어떻게 될 것인지를 아신다.

모든 사람의 마음을 아시는 그분께서,

그 사람이 병에서 일으킴을 받는다면 당신의 이름을 영화롭게 할 것인지

혹은 낙심하고 배도함으로 그분을 모독할 것인지 아신다.All that we are required to do is to ask God to raise the sick up

if in accordance with His will,

believing that He hears the reasons which we present and the fervent prayers offered. 

 

하나님께서 우리가 제시하는 이유들과 드리는 열렬한 기도를 들으실 것을 믿으면서,

당신의 뜻에 합당할 경우 병든 자를 일으켜 주십사고 하나님께 요청하는 것이

우리가 행할 바의 전부이다If the Lord sees it will best honor Him, He will answer our prayers.

But to urge recovery without submission to His will is not right. 

 

주님께서 보실 때에 그것이 가장 당신을 영화롭게 한다면, 그분은 우리의 기도를 응답해 주실 것이다. 그러나 그분의 뜻에 굴복하지 않고 회복만을 강요하는 것은 옳지 않다.
