봉사에 대한 보상

 

While the great final reward is given at Christ’s coming,

true-hearted service for God brings a reward, even in this life. 

 

최후의 큰 상급은 그리스도께서 재림하실 때에 주실 것이나,

하나님을 위해서 진심으로 행하는 봉사에는 현세에서도 그 보상이 따른다. 

 

Obstacles, opposition, and bitter, heart-breaking discouragements, the worker will have to meet.

He may not see the fruit of his toil.

But in face of all this he finds in his labor a blessed recompense. 

 

일꾼은 여러 가지 장애와 반대 또는 가슴이 찢어질 듯한 쓰라린 실망을 당하며,

또 그의 수고의 결과를 보지 못할지도 모른다.

그러나, 그렇더라도 그는 그의 수고에서 복된 보상을 발견한다. 

All who surrender themselves to God in unselfish service for humanity

are in co-operation with the Lord of glory.

This thought sweetens all toil, it braces the will, it nerves the spirit for whatever may befall. 

 

인류에 대한 무아의 봉사로써 하나님께 헌신하는 모든 자들은 영광의 주님과 협력하고 있는 것이다.

이러한 생각은 모든 노고를 즐겁게 하고 의지를 굳게 하며,

앞으로 일어날 어떠한 일에 대해서도 강한 정신을 갖게 한다.
Working with unselfish heart, ennobled by being partakers of Christ’s sufferings,

sharing His sympathies,

they help to swell the tide of His joy, and bring honor and praise to His exalted name.

In fellowship with God, with Christ, and with holy angels,

they are surrounded with a heavenly atmosphere,

an atmosphere that brings health to the body, vigor to the intellect, and joy to the soul. 

 

그리스도의 고난에 참여하고 그의 동정심을 가짐으로써 고상하여진 무아의 정신으로 일할 때,

그들은 그리스도의 기쁨을 고조시키며 그의 높으신 이름에 찬양과 찬송을 돌리게 된다.

하나님과 그리스도와 및 거룩한 천사들과의 교제로,

그들은 신체의 건강과 두뇌의 활력과 영혼의 기쁨을 가져 오는 하늘의 분위기 속에 휩싸이게 된다.
