Set Aside all Faultfinding

모든 흠잡는 일을 제쳐 놓으라

 

 

We should be weeding out of our thoughts all complaining and faultfinding.

 

우리는 생각에서 모든 불평하는 일과 흠잡는 일을 뿌리 뽑아 버려야 한다.

 

Let us not continue to look upon any defects that we may see...

 

우리는 눈에 보일지 모르는 어떤 결점도 계속 바라보지 않도록 하자...

 

 

If we would get the right hold on God,

we must keep beholding the great precious things—

the purity, the glory, the power, the kindness, the affection, the love,

that God bestows upon us.

 

만일 하나님을 올바로 붙들고 있으려면, 우리는 대단히 귀중한 것들

즉 하나님께서 우리에게 수여하시는 순결, 영광, 능력, 친절, 애정, 사랑을 계속 바라보아야 한다.

 

And thus beholding,

our minds will become so fixed upon these things of eternal interest

that we shall have no desire to find the flaws in others.

 

그리고 그와 같이 바라봄으로 말미암아 우리의 마음은 영원한 이익과 관련된 것들에 고정되어 버려서, 다른 사람들에게서 흠을 찾으려는 욕망을 갖지 않게 될 것이다.
