기도의 과학

기도와 신앙은 밀접하게 관련된 것으로, 이들을 함께 연구할 필요가 있다.

믿음으로 하는 기도에는 하늘로부터 오는 과학이 있다.

인생에서 성공하려고 하는 사람은 누구나 이 과학을 이해하여야 한다.

예수님께서는 “무엇이든지 기도하고 구하는 것은 받은 줄로 믿으라

그리하면 너희에게 그대로 되리라”(막 11:24)고 하셨다.

그리스도께서는 우리가 하나님의 뜻에 맞도록 기도해야 한다는 것을 명백히 하셨다.

우리는 반드시 하나님의 허락하신 바를 구하고,

또 무엇이나 받을 때에는 그것을 하나님의 뜻을 행하기 위하여 써야 하는 것이다.

이 조건들이 이행될 때에는, 허락하신 것을 틀림없이 주실 것이다.

 

우리는 죄 사함을 위하여 성령을 받고자,

그리스도와 같은 성품을 갖고자,

하나님의 일을 위한 지혜와 힘을 얻고자,

그 밖에 하나님께서 허락하신 모든 선물을 얻고자 기도할 수 있다.

동시에,우리는 받은 줄로 믿어야 하며, 또한 그것을 인하여 감사해야 한다.

 

Understand the Science of Prayer

Prayer and faith are closely allied, and they need to be studied together. In the prayer of faith there is a divine science; it is a science that everyone who would make his lifework a success must understand.

Christ says, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24. He makes it plain that our asking must be according to God’s will; we must ask for the things that He has promised, and whatever we receive must be used in doing His will. The conditions met, the promise is unequivocal.

For the pardon of sin, for the Holy Spirit, for a Christlike temper, for wisdom and strength to do His work, for any gift He has promised, we may ask; then we are to believe that we receive, and return thanks to God that we have received.—(Education, 257, 258.)
