하나님께서는 사람에게 안식일이 불가결함을 아셨다

 

 

하나님께서는 낙원에서라도 사람에게 안식일이 불가결하다는 것을 아셨다.

 

그는 하나님의 작품들을 더욱 충분히 숙고하고, 그분의 능력과 선하심을 명상할 수 있도록

칠일 중 하루 동안은 자신의 이익과 일을 제쳐놓을 필요가 있었다.

 

그는 그에게 하나님을 더 명확하게 상기시켜 주고

그가 누리고 소유한 모든 것이 창조주의 자선심 많은 손에서 나온 것임을 그에게 상기시킴으로

감사하는 마음을 일깨워 줄 수 있는 안식일을 필요로 하였다.

 

God saw that a Sabbath was essential for man

 

God saw that a Sabbath was essential for man, even in Paradise.

 

He needed to lay aside his own interests and pursuits for one day of the seven, that he might more fully contemplate the works of God

and meditate upon His power and goodness.

 

He needed a Sabbath to remind him more vividly of God

and to awaken gratitude

because all that he enjoyed and possessed

came from the beneficent hand of the Creator.
