얼마 동안 누가는 이곳 저곳으로 다니는 바울의 여행에 동행하였다.

얼마 후에 바울은 누가를 마게도니아에 있는 빌립보에 남겨두었다.

여기에서 그는 여러 해 동안 의사와 복음의 교사로서 계속해서 일하였다. 

 

의사로서 일을 하면서, 그는 병자들에게 봉사하였고,

그 다음에 고통 중에 있는 사람들에게 하나님의 치료의 능력이 임하도록 기도하였다.

그리하여 복음 기별을 위한 길이 열렸다.

의사로서 누가가 거둔 성공은 이방 사람들에게 그리스도를 증거할 많은 기회를 그에게 주었다. 

 

제자들이 일한 것처럼 일하는 것이 하나님의 계획이다.

육신적 치료는 복음 사명과 관련되어 있다.

복음사업에 있어서, 가르치는 일과 병고치는 일은 결코 분리되어서는 안된다. 

 

제자들의 사업은 복음의 지식을 전파하는 일이었다.

그들에게는 그리스도께서 사람들에게 가져다 주신 복된 소식을 온 세상에 선포하는 사업이

위탁되었다.

그들은 그 사업을 그 당시의 사람들을 위하여 성취하였다.

복음이 하늘 아래 있는 모든 나라에 단 한 세대 동안에 전해 졌다. 

 

세상에 복음을 전하는 일은 하나님께서 당신의 이름을 부르는 사람들에게 위탁하신 사업이다. 

 

복음은 세상의 죄와 불행을 제거해 주는 유일의 해독제(解毒劑)이다.

온 인류에게 하나님의 은혜의 기별을 알려 주는 것이

그 치료의 능력을 깨달은 사람들의 첫째 과업이다.

🌻Aroma of Life | For Earth’s Sin and Misery the Gospel is the Only Antidote🌻 

 

For some time Luke accompanied Paul in his travels from place to place. Paul left Luke at Philippi, in Macedonia. Here he continued to labor for several years, both as a physician and as a teacher of the gospel. 

 

In his work as a physician he ministered to the sick, and then prayed for the healing power of God to rest upon the afflicted ones. Thus the way was opened for the gospel message. Luke’s success as a physician gained for him many opportunities for preaching Christ among the heathen. 

 

It is the divine plan that we shall work as the disciples worked. Physical healing is bound up with the gospel commission. In the work of the gospel, teaching and healing are never to be separated. 

 

The work of the disciples was to spread a knowledge of the gospel. To them was committed the work of proclaiming to all the world the good news that Christ brought to men. That work they accomplished for the people of their time. To every nation under heaven the gospel was carried in a single generation. 

 

The giving of the gospel to the world is the work that God has committed to those who bear His name. 

 

For earth’s sin and misery the gospel is the only antidote. To make known to all mankind the message of the grace of God is the first work of those who know its healing power.
