하나님께서는 끊임없이 그분의 백성을 전정하시며, 수없이 퍼진 가지들을 치셔서

 

잎만 만들지 않고 그들이 그분의 영광을 위해 열매를 맺도록 하신다. 

 

 

 

하나님께서는 슬픔과 실망과 고통으로 가지를 치셔서

 

강하고 왜곡된 특성을 지닌 품성의 성장이

 

연약해지고 더 좋은 특성이 자라날 수 있는 기회를 갖도록 하신다. 

 

 

 

우상들은 포기되어야 하며, 양심은 보다 더 부드러워져야 하고,

 

심령의 명상은 영적이 되어야 하며, 전체적인 품성은 균형이 잡혀야 한다. 

 

 

 

하나님께 진정으로 영광을 돌리고자 하는 사람들은

 

모든 우상과 모든 악을 드러내 주시는 것에 대해 감사할 것이며,

 

그들은 이런 악들을 보고 그것을 제거해 버릴 것이다.

🌻Aroma of Life | God is Constantly Pruning His People🌻

 

God is constantly pruning His people, cutting off profuse, spreading branches, that they may bear fruit to His glory and not produce leaves only. 

 

God prunes us with sorrow, with disappointment and affliction, that the outgrowth of strong, perverse traits of character may be weakened and that the better traits may have a chance to develop. 

 

Idols must be given up, the conscience must become more tender, the meditations of the heart must be spiritual, and the entire character must become symmetrical. 

 

Those who really desire to glorify God will be thankful for the exposure of every idol and every sin, that they may see these evils and put them away; but the divided heart will plead for indulgence rather than denial.
