?생명의 향기 | 하나님께서 시험하심?

 

하나님은 당신의 백성들을 한 걸음 한 걸음 인도하신다.

그분께서는 백성들의 마음 속에 있는 것을 드러내기 위하여

계획하신 각기 다른 상황으로 백성들을 인도하신다. 

 

어떤 이들은 한 가지 점에서는 잘 견디나, 그 다음 것에서는 실패한다.

전진하는 매 지점마다 마음은 더 세밀하게 시험받고 단련을 받는다. 

 

만일, 하나님 백성이라고 공언하는 자들이 계속되는 이 시험에 대해 반발하는 마음을 가지고 있다면,

그들은 극복하기 위해 해야 할 일이 자신들에게 있음을 확실히 알아야 할 것이다.

그렇지 않으면, 그들이 주님의 입에서 토하여 냄을 당할 것이다.

 

천사는 말하였다.

“하나님께서는 당신의 백성들 개개인을 검토하고 시험하시고자

당신의 사업을 좀더 세밀한 방향으로 이끌어 가실 것이다.” 

 

어떤 이들은 한 시련을 달게 받는다.

그러나, 하나님께서는 그들을 또 다른 시험의 장소로 인도하시는데,

그 때 그들은 몸을 움츠리고 뒤로 물러선다.

왜냐하면, 그 시험이 그들이 품고 있는 우상을 직접적으로 공격하는 것이기 때문이다. 

 

여기에서 그들은 예수를 내어쫓는, 그들의 마음 속에 있는 것이 무엇임을 볼 기회를 갖는다.

그들은 진리보다 다른 어떤 것을 높이 평가하며,

그들의 마음은 예수님을 받아들일 준비를 갖추고 있지 못하다. 

 

각 개인들은 그들이 그들의 우상을 희생하고 참된 증인의 권면에 유의하는지 입증되기 위하여

얼마 동안 시험을 받게 된다. 

 

만일, 어느 누구라도 진리에 순종함으로 정결함을 입고

그들의 이기심, 자만심, 그리고 악한 정욕을 극복하지 않는다면,

천사는 “그들은 자신의 우상과 연합한다. 그들을 버려 두라”는 선고를 내리고,

죄된 성질을 극복하지 못한 그들을 악한 천사의 지배 아래 버려 둔 채

그들의 맡은 바 또 다른 일을 위하여 떠난다. 

 

모든 시험을 당하고 견디었으며 어떤 대가라도 지불하고 시험을 승리한 자들은

참된 증인의 권면에 유의한 자들이며,

늦은비 성령을 받게 될 것이요, 그리하여 변화를 받기에 적합하게 된다.

?Aroma of Life | God’s Proving?

 

God leads His people on, step by step. He brings them up to different points calculated to manifest what is in the heart. 

 

Some endure at one point, but fall off at the next. At every advanced point the heart is tested and tried a little closer. 

 

If the professed people of God find their hearts opposed to this straight work, it should convince them that they have a work to do to overcome, if they would not be spewed out of the mouth of the Lord.

 

Said the angel: “God will bring His work closer and closer to test and prove every one of His people.” 

 

Some are willing to receive one point; but God brings them to another testing point, they shrink from it and stand back, because they find that it strikes directly at some cherished idol. 

 

Here they have opportunity to see what is in their hearts that shuts out Jesus. They prize something higher than the truth, and their hearts are not prepared to receive Jesus. 

 

Individuals are tested and proved a length of time to see if they will sacrifice their idols and heed the counsel of the True Witness. 

 

If any will not be purified through obeying the truth, and overcome their selfishness, their pride, and evil passions, the angels of God have the charge: “They are joined to their idols, let them alone,” and they pass on to their work, leaving these with their sinful traits unsubdued, to the control of evil angels. 

 

Those who come up to every point, and stand every test, and overcome, be the price what it may, have heeded the counsel of the True Witness, and they will receive the latter rain, and thus be fitted for translation.
