?생명의 향기 | 건강 개혁의 원리를 준수하고 가르침?

나는 우리가 유쾌하고 희망적이고 평화로운 마음의 상태를 장려해야 함을 보았는데

이는 우리의 건강이 우리가 이 일을 하는 데 달려 있기 때문이다.

나는 자신의 건강에 주의를 기울여야 하는 것이 모든 이의 의무이나,

특히 우리가 우리의 주의를 우리의 건강에 돌려야 함과

우리의 건강을 돌보는 일에 시간을 들여서

우리가 과로하고 마음을 힘들게 한 것의 영향으로부터 어느 정도 회복되도록 해야 함을 보았다.

우리에게 요구되는 하나님의 사업은 우리의 건강을 돌보는 일에서 우리를 배제하지 않는다.

우리의 건강이 보다 완전할수록 우리의 활동이 보다 완전할 것이다.

나는 우리가 힘을 소진하고, 과도하게 일하며 근심하면 감기에 걸리게 되고

그런 때는 위험한 질병에 걸릴 수 있는 순간임을 보았다.

하나님께서 우리로 하여금 지키고 돌보도록 맡기신 그것을 하나님께 떠넘기면서

우리 자신을 돌보지 않고 방치해서는 안 된다.
건강의 법칙을 범하면서, 우리의 기도와 정반대로 살면서,

그분께 우리의 건강을 지켜 주실 것과 우리를 질병으로부터 보호해 주실 것을 요청하는 것은

안전하지도 하나님께 기쁨이 되지도 않는다.

건강에 주의하며 다른 이들에게 그들의 의무를 일깨워 줄 것이나

그들의 짐을 우리가 지지 않는 것이 우리의 신성한 의무임을 나는 보았다.
그러나 우리는 각종 부절제

-일과 먹고 마시는 데 있어서, 그리고 약품 사용에 있어서의 부절제에 대해 반대하며,

그들에게 치유와 건강과 청결과 만족을 위한 하나님의 위대한 약품, 순수한 물에 대하여

지적해 줄 의무를 가진다.

?Aroma of Life | To Observe and Teach Health Reform Principles?

I saw that we should encourage a cheerful, hopeful, peaceful frame of mind, for our health depends upon our doing this.

I saw that it was duty for everyone to have a care for his health, but especially should we turn our attention to our health, and take time to devote to our health that we may in a degree recover from the effects of overdoing and overtaxing the mind.

The work God requires of us will not shut us away from caring for our health. The more perfect our health, the more perfect will be our labor.

I saw that when we tax our strength, overlabor and weary ourselves much, then we take colds and at such times are in danger of diseases taking a dangerous form.
We must not leave the care of ourselves for God to see to and to take care of that which He has left for us to watch and care for.
It is not safe nor pleasing to God to violate the laws of health and then ask Him to take care of our health and keep us from disease when we are living directly contrary to our prayers.

I saw that it was a sacred duty to attend to our health, and arouse others to their duty, and yet not take the burden of their case upon us.

Yet we have a duty to speak, to come out against intemperance of every kind,—intemperance in working, in eating, in drinking and in drugging—and then point them to God's great medicine, water, pure soft water, for diseases, for health, for cleanliness, and for a luxury.
