?생명의 향기 | 하나님의 사랑과 공의?

사탄은 당신의 백성에 대한 하나님의 사랑이 너무나 크기 때문에

하나님께서는 그들의 죄를 용서하실 것이라는 그럴 듯한 이론을 가지고

많은 사람을 기만한다.
사탄은 하나님의 위협적인 말씀이

당신의 도덕 정치에 있어서 어떠한 목적에 도움이 되겠지만

그 말씀은 결코 문자 그대로 성취되지 않을 것이라고 한다.

그러나 하나님께서는 당신의 피조물을 취급하시는 모든 일에 있어서

죄를 그 참 성질 그대로 나타내심으로,
즉 죄의 분명한 결과는 비참함과 죽음이란 사실을 증거하심으로

의의 원칙을 유지하셨다.

죄에 대한 무조건적 용서는 존재한 적이 결코 없으며
앞으로도 결코 존재하지 않을 것이다.

이와 같은 용서는 바로 하나님의 정부의 기초인 의의 원칙의 포기를 나타내게 된다.

이것은 타락하지 않은 우주를 경악(驚愕)으로 충만케 할 것이다.

하나님께서는 죄의 결과를 충실히 지적하셨는데

만일 이 경고가 참되지 않다면

우리가 어찌 하나님의 약속이 성취되리라는 것을 확신할 수 있겠는가?

공의를 무시하는, 이름만의 자비심이란 것은 참 자비심이 아니요

다만 우유 부단일 뿐이다.

하나님은 생명을 주시는 분이시다.
태초부터 모든 하나님의 법도가 생물에게 제정되었다.

그러나 죄는 하나님께서 세우신 질서를 파괴하였고,
그리하여 불화가 그 뒤를 따랐다.
죄악이 존속하는 한 고통과 사망은 불가피한 것이다.

다만 구세주께서 우리를 위하여 죄의 저주를 짊어지셨기 때문에

인류는 자신에게 닥쳐올 죄악의 무서운 결과에서 피할 희망을 가질 수 있게 되었다.

?Aroma of Life I God's Love and Righteousness ?

Satan deceives many with the plausible theory that God's love for His people is so great that He will excuse sin in them;
he represents that while the threatenings of God's word are to serve a certain purpose in His moral government, they are never to be literally fulfilled.

But in all His dealings with His creatures God has maintained the principles of righteousness by revealing sin in its true character—by demonstrating that its sure result is misery and death.

The unconditional pardon of sin never has been, and never will be. Such pardon would show the abandonment of the principles of righteousness, which are the very foundation of the government of God. It would fill the unfallen universe with consternation.

God has faithfully pointed out the results of sin, and if these warnings were not true, how could we be sure that His promises would be fulfilled?
That so-called benevolence which would set aside justice is not benevolence but weakness.

God is the life-giver.
From the beginning all His laws were ordained to life.

But sin broke in upon the order that God had established, and discord followed.
So long as sin exists, suffering and death are inevitable.

It is only because the Redeemer has borne the curse of sin in our behalf that man can hope to escape, in his own person, its dire results.
