그리스도와 같은 사랑은 다른 사람들의 동기와 행위에 가장 좋은 해석을 가한다?

“사랑은 오래 참고 사랑은 온유하며 투기하는 자가 되지 아니하며

사랑은 자랑하지 아니하며 교만하지 아니”한다.

 

가장 순결한 기쁨은 가장 깊은 겸비에서 솟아오른다.

가장 강하고 가장 고상한 품성은

인내와 사랑과 하나님의 뜻에 대한 복종의 기초 위에 건설된다.

사랑은 “무례히 행치 아니하며 자기의 유익을 구치 아니하며 성내지 아니하며

악한 것을 생각지 아니”한다.
그리스도와 같은 사랑은 다른 사람들의 동기와 행위에 가장 좋은 해석을 가한다.

이것은 쓸데없이 그들의 잘못을 드러내지도 아니하고

불리한 보고에 열심히 귀를 기울이지도 아니하고

오히려 다른 사람들의 좋은 품성들을 기억하고자 노력한다.

사랑은 “악한 것을 생각지 아니하며 불의를 기뻐하지 아니하며 진리와 함께 기뻐하고

모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿으며 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디느니라.”

이 사랑은 “언제까지든지 떨어지지 아니”한다.

이것은 하늘의 속성이기 때문에 결코 그 가치를 잃지 아니한다.
귀중한 보배처럼 그 소유자는 이것을 가지고 하나님의 도성의 문을 통과할 것이다.

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up.”
The purest joy springs from the deepest humiliation.
The strongest and noblest characters are built on the foundation of patience, love, and submission to God's will.

Charity “does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.”

Christ-like love places the most favorable construction on the motives and acts of others.
It does not needlessly expose their faults; it does not listen eagerly to unfavorable reports, but seeks rather to bring to mind the good qualities of others.

Love “does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
This love “never fails.”
It can never lose its value; it is a heavenly attribute.
As a precious treasure, it will be carried by its possessor through the portals of the city of God.
