낙심하지 말라!

낙심하지 말라!

“내가 네게 명한 것이 아니냐 마음을 강하게 하고 담대히 하라

두려워 말며 놀라지 말라 네가 어디로 가든지 네 하나님 나 여호와가 너와 함께 하느니라”(수 1:9)....

어떤 사람들은 항상 불유쾌하고 실망적인 면만을 바라보고 낙심한다.

이들은 하늘이 그들로 하여금 세상에 복의 기관이 되게 하기 위하여 기다리고 있으며

또 주 예수님은 사람들에게 힘과 용기를 주는 무한한 창고이심을 기억하지 못하고 있다. 

우리는 두려워하고 낙담할 필요가 없다.

우리의 진로를 방해하기 위해서 사단이 그의 어두운 그림자로 우리 앞을 가리지 않는 때는 없다.

이처럼 우리의 대적은 의의 태양 예수님에게서 오는 빛을 막으려 애쓰고 있다.

그러나 우리의 믿음은 그 그림자를 뚫고 나가야 한다.

희망과 용기는 하나님의 사업을 이루는 데 필수불가결한 요소이다.

이것들은 믿음의 열매이다.

낙담은 죄요 옳지 않은 행위이다.

하나님께서는 시험과 시련을 위해 필요되는 힘을 당신의 종들에게 “충분히”(히 6:17)내려 주실 수 있으시고

내려 주시기를 원하신다.… 

낙심한 자들을 위한 확실한 치료제가 있다.

그것은 신앙과 기도와 사업이다.

신앙과 활동은 자신감과 만족을 줄 것이며 그것들은 날마다 증가하게 될 것이다.…

가장 암담한 날, 형세가 가장 험악한 것처럼 보일 때에도 무서워 하지 말고 하나님을 믿으라.

Don’t Get Discouraged!

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9.

Some look always at the objectionable and discouraging features, and therefore discouragement overtakes them. They forget that the heavenly universe is waiting to make them agencies of blessing to the world; and that the Lord Jesus is a never-failing storehouse from which human beings may draw strength and courage. 

There is no need for despondency and apprehension. The time will never come when the shadow of Satan will not be cast athwart our pathway. Thus the enemy seeks to hide the light shining from the Sun of Righteousness. But our faith should pierce this shadow.

Hope and courage are essential to perfect service for God. These are the fruit of faith. Despondency is sinful and unreasonable. God is able and willing “more abundantly” to bestow upon His servants the strength they need for test and trial.... 

For the disheartened there is a sure remedy—faith, prayer, work. Faith and activity will impart assurance and satisfaction that will increase day by day.... In the darkest days, when appearances seem most forbidding, fear not. Have faith in God.
