우리에게 허락된 축복들

 

“주를 두려워하는 자를 위하여 쌓아 두신 은혜

곧 인생 앞에서 주께 피하는 자를 위하여 베푸신 은혜가 어찌 그리 큰지요" ( 시 31:19) 

하나님께서는 우리의 여행을 명랑하게 하고 그를 사랑하고 그를 찬양하도록 우리의 마음을 인도하시기 위하여 우리의 앞길에 많은 축복들을 허락하여 주셨다. 

그리고 그는 우리들이 구원의 우물에서 물을 길어서 우리의 마음을 새롭게 하기를 원하신다. 

하나님께서는 우리들을 흑암의 세계 가운데 남겨 두지 않으셨다.

우리의 앞길에는 아름다운 꽃밭들로 장식되어 있을 것이 약속되어 있다.

이 꽃들은 어디든지 있으며 풍부한 향기를 발할 것이다

우리들의 매일 받는 축복을 그대로 넘겨 버리고 우리가 가지고 있지 않는 것을 가지고자 함으로써

우리는 얼마나 많은 축복들을 잃어버리는가! (일반적으로 받는 축복은 축복으로 생각지 않고 지나친다) 

우리는 자연 가운데서 보잘 것 없는 하나님의 사물들로부터 많은 교훈을 배울 수 있다. 

그늘지고 보잘 것 없는 장소에 핀 꽃도 빛의 광선을 모두 받을 수 있음을 응답하며 잎을 낸다. 

태양 없는 집 속의 감옥 같은 새장 안의 새도 양지에서 사는 것처럼 당당하게 노래한다. 

하나님께서는 우리가 그분의 축복들을 사용할 때 지혜 있고 알뜰하게 쓸것인지 아신다.

그분께서는 그들에게 남용하도록 주시지는 않으신다. 

하나님께서는 그들로부터 평화와 희망과 위로를 수집하기 위하여

그분의 약속의 말씀들을 절대적으로 신뢰하는 자들, 감사하는 심령을 사랑하신다. 

그분께서는 아직 그분의 사랑의 더욱 깊음을 우리에게 나타내실 것이다

할수 있는 대로 하나님께 대한 사랑은 우리 마음과 입술에서 계속되어야 한다.

이것이 무익한 대화나 게으름에 대한 방종의 유혹을 물리치는 가장 좋은 방법이다

주님께서는 우리가 하늘이 있음에 대하여 그분께 감사하고 바라보도록 하신다. 

하나님의 풍성한 약속들을 산 믿음으로 붙잡고 아침부터 저녁까지 감사하도록 하자

Blessings to Cheer Us

 "Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!" (Psalm 31:19)

God scatters blessings all along our path to brighten our journey and lead our hearts out to love and praise Him, and He wants us to draw water from the well of salvation that our hearts may be refreshed. 

God has not left us in a dark world. The borders of our path are strewn with fair flowers of promise. They blossom all around, sending forth rich fragrance. 

 How many blessings we lose because we slight and overlook the blessings we daily receive, yearning for that which we have not. 

We may learn lessons from the humble things of God in nature. 

The flower in dark and humble places responds to all the rays of light it can get, and puts forth its leaves. 

The caged bird sings in the prison cage, in the sunless tenement, as if in the lordly, sunny dwelling. 

God knows whether we will make a wise and saving use of His blessings; He will never give them to us to abuse. 

God loves the thankful heart, trusting implicitly in His words of promise, gathering comfort and hope and place from them; and He will reveal to us still greater depths of His love. ...

The praise of God should continually be in our hearts and on our lips. This is the very best way to resist the temptation to indulge in idle, frivolous conversation.

 The Lord would have us look up, and be grateful to Him that there is a heaven.... 

Let us grasp by living faith the rich promises of God, and be thankful from morning till night.
