가장 어두운 때에도 위에는 빛이 있다
세상이 그 지혜로 하나님을 알지 못하는 고로 가장 위대한 학자들과 정치가들 그리고 세계의 가장 저명한 인사들 중 많은 사람들이 이 마지막 시대에 빛에서 떠나게 될 것이다. 그러나 하나님의 종들은 이런 사람들에게 진리를 전할 수 있는 모든 기회를 계발해야 한다. 그러면 어떤 사람들은 하나님의 사물에 대한 그들의 무지를 고백하고, 크신 교사 예수의 발아래 겸손히 배우는 자가 될 것이다.
상류 계층에 접근하려는 모든 노력을 함에 있어서 하나님을 위한 일꾼은 강한 믿음을 가져야 한다. 겉보기에는 가까이 하기 어려운 듯이 보이나, 가장 어두운 때에도 위에는 빛이 있다. 하나님을 사랑하고 섬기는 사람들의 힘은 날로 새롭게 될 것이다. 그들이 하나님의 목적을 수행하는 데 실수하지 않도록 무한하신 분의 지혜가 그들과 함께 할 것이다. 이러한 일꾼들로 하나님의 진리의 빛이 우리 세상을 덮고 있는 어둠을 꿰뚫고 비칠 것임을 기억하는 가운데 그들이 처음에 가진바 확신을 끝까지 견고히 붙잡게 하라. 하나님의 사업에 관한 한 낙담이란 있을 수가 없다. 헌신한 일꾼은 믿음으로 그 사업에 수반된 모든 시험을 견디어야 한다. 하나님께서는 당신의 종들에게 그들이 필요로 하는 모든 능력과 그들의 여러 가지 필요에 요구되는 지혜를 주실 수 있으실 뿐더러 즐겨 주시고자 하신다. 하나님께서는 당신께 신뢰를 두는 이들에게 그들의 최고의 기대 그 이상을 이루어 주실 것이다. – 사도행적, 242.
In the Darkest Hour There is Light Above
Many of the greatest scholars and statesmen, the world's most eminent men, will in these last days turn from the light because the world by wisdom knows not God. Yet God's servants are to improve every opportunity to communicate the truth to these men. Some will acknowledge their ignorance of the things of God and will take their place as humble learners at the feet of Jesus, the Master Teacher.
In every effort to reach the higher classes, the worker for God needs strong faith. Appearances may seem forbidding, but in the darkest hour there is light above. The strength of those who love and serve God will be renewed day by day. The understanding of the Infinite is placed at their service, that in carrying out His purposes they may not err. Let these workers hold the beginning of their confidence firm unto the end, remembering that the light of God's truth is to shine amid the darkness that enshrouds our world. There is to be no despondency in connection with God's service. The faith of the consecrated worker is to stand every test brought to bear upon it. God is able and willing to bestow upon His servants all the strength they need and to give them the wisdom that their varied necessities demand. He will more than fulfill the highest expectations of those who put their trust in Him. - Acts of Apostles, 242.
