희생의 보상

?생명의 향기 | 희생의 보상?

 

다른 사람에게 복을 베풀기 위하여 사용된 돈에 대하여는 보상이 있을 것이다.
옳게 사용된 재물은 큰 선을 이룰 것이다.
그리고 영혼을 그리스도께 인도할 수 있게 될 것이다.

그리스도께서 세우신 생애의 계획에 따라 생활하는 자는,

자기가 이 세상에서 그의 수고와 희생의 대상이 되었던 자들을

하나님의 궁정에서 보게 될 것이다.

그리고 구속받은 자들은 감사하는 마음으로

그들을 구원하는 일에 조력하여 준 사람들을 기억하게 될 것이다.
영혼 구원 사업에 충실했던 자들에게는 천국이 심히 귀한 곳이 될 것이다.

세상에는 탐욕의 정신, 최고의 지위와 보수를 추구하는 정신이 만연하고 있다.
이전에 보았던 극기와 희생의 정신을 너무나 찾기 힘들다.
그러나 이 정신이야말로 참된 예수의 추종자들로 활동하게 하는 유일의 정신이다.

거룩한 주님께서는 우리가 어떻게 일해야 하는지 그 모본을 보여 주셨다.
그리고 그는 “나를 따라오너라 내가 너희로 사람을 낚는 어부가 되게 하리라”(마 4:19)

하고 명령하신 사람들에게, 봉사의 대가로 규정된 얼마의 보수를 주지는 않으셨다.
그들은 주와 더불어 극기와 희생을 같이 해야 하였다.

?Aroma of Life | The Reward of Sacrifice?

The means used to bless others will bring returns.
Riches rightly employed will accomplish great good.
Souls will be won to Christ.

He who follows Christ's plan of life will see in the courts of God those for whom he has labored and sacrificed on earth.

Gratefully will the ransomed ones remember those who have been instrumental in their salvation.
Precious will heaven be to those who have been faithful in the work of saving souls.

The spirit of covetousness, of seeking for the highest position and the highest wage, is rife in the world.
The old-time spirit of self-denial and self-sacrifice is too seldom met with.
But this is the only spirit that can actuate a true follower of Jesus.

Our divine Master has given us an example of how we are to work.
And to those whom He bade, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men,” He offered no stated sum as a reward for their services.
They were to share with Him His self-denial and sacrifice.
