동료 인간들을 유익하게 하고, 복되게 하며,
그들의 구속주에게 영예를 돌리고 영광스럽게 하려는 목적을 갖고 사는 사람들은
이 세상에서 참으로 행복한 사람인 반면에,

안절부절못하고, 불만을 품고 있으며,
이것을 찾고 저것을 시험하면서 행복을 찾으려고 희망하는 사람은
항상 실망하고 그것에 대해 불평하곤 한다.
그는 항상 결핍 상태에 있고 결코 만족하지 못하는데,
그 이유는 그가 자신만을 위하여 살기 때문이다.

선을 행하고

인생에서 그대가 해야 할 부분을 신실하게 행하는 것,
이것을 그대의 목표로 삼으라.

Those who live for a purpose,
seeking to benefit and bless their fellowmen
and to honor and glorify their Redeemer,
are the truly happy ones on the earth,

while the man who is restless, discontented,
and seeking this and testing that, hoping to find happiness,
is always complaining of disappointment.
He is always in want, never satisfied,
because he lives for himself alone.
