아담의 실패가 완전했던 것처럼 그리스도의 승리도 완전하였다.

 

그와 같이 우리도 시험에 대항하여 사탄을 우리에게서 떠나가게 할 수 있다. 

 

예수께서는 하나님께 순복하고 믿음으로 말미암아 승리를 거두셨다.

그분은 사도를 통하여 우리에게 이렇게 말씀하신다.  

 

"그런즉 너희는 하나님께 순복할지어다

마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라

하나님을 가까이하라 그리하면 너희를 가까이 하시리라"(약 4：7, 8). 

 

우리는 유혹자의 세력에서 우리 자신을 구할 수 없다.

사탄은 인류를 이겼다.

그러므로 우리 자신의 힘으로 대항하려고 한다면 우리는 그의 계교의 희생물이 될 것이다.

그러나 "여호와의 이름은 견고한 망대라 의인은 그리로 달려가서 안전함을 얻는"(잠 18：10)다. 

 

사탄은 이 능력 있는 이름 안에서 피난처를 구하는 가장 연약한 자들 앞에서 떨며 도망한다.

?Aroma of Life | Resist the Devil, and He Will Flee from You?

 

Christ’s victory was as complete as had been the failure of Adam.

 

So we may resist temptation, and force Satan to depart from us. 

 

Jesus gained the victory through submission and faith in God, and by the apostle He says to us, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.” James 4:7, 8. 

 

We cannot save ourselves from the tempter’s power; he has conquered humanity, and when we try to stand in our own strength, we shall become a prey to his devices; 

but “the name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10. 

 

Satan trembles and flees before the weakest soul who finds refuge in that mighty name.
